Biafra: Gowon’s sacrifice preserved Nigeria – APC The All Progressives Congress (APC) has said that Nigeria’s former Head of State, Yakubu Gowon’s sacrifice and dedication during the Biafra civil war ensured that the unity and statehood of the country was not destroyed. The Party said this in a statement issued on Thursday by its National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, to felicitate with the elder statesman on the occasion of his 83rd birthday. According to the APC, Gowon will remain a symbol of national unity and a voice of caution and restraint in the national conversation about the direction of the country. The Federal Government via the National Broadcasting Corporation, has made firm on its decision to ban Olamide’s anthem and hit track of the moment,  Wo . This is coming a few days after the Federal Ministry of Health had openly aired it displeasure regarding visuals to Wo. Thousands of Nigerians have been defrauded by fraudsters who used the name and image of Governor Ben Ayade of Cross River State to swindle unsuspecting persons. The fraudsters extort money and dupe their victims to the tune of several millions of naira. Already, many have fallen victims to these fraudsters. Lagos begins demolition of illegal structures in Obalende Lagos state government Saturday morning commenced demolition of illegal structures and shanties at Obalende. Officials of the state stormed the area around 7:30am. Armed security agents are on ground to maintain law and order.
